Farabi's Outreach in the Neighborhood
The history of Farabi's Medical Community activities go back to the presence of devoted doctors and nurses in the holy defense of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war.
After the war stopped, the first moves of the Community began in 1996. Organizing doctors and nurses into specialized emergency teams, dispatching health and medical teams to underprivileged areas, free examination and treatment of patient in medical and non-medical centers in rural and deprived areas, dispatching specialized medical and paramedical teams to the quake-hit areas (cities of Qazvin, Roodbar, Bam, etc.), cooperation in providing human resources needed in crises, cooperation in the vaccination campaign against measles and rubella, participation in civil crisis management exercises have been among these activities.
